Event details

What happens when you mix science, water, and your favorite local watering hole? You get A Scientist Walks Into a Bar… from Newport News Waterworks! Join us for a fun, free conversation about the science behind the water in your glass. We’ll explore the fascinating connection between water, water treatment, and the beverages we enjoy, with a few surprising facts along the way. You’ll learn more about where our water comes from, how Newport News Waterworks treats it, and why high-quality water matters to the brewing, distilling, and beverage-making process.
